Blindsided By Falling in Love with Dead Brother’s Widow

Writer: Karen BaneyKaren Baney

A Cowboy to Rely On (Wyoming Ranchers #2) by Jill Kemerer

Genre: Contemporary Romance, Inspirational Romance, Christian Romance

Location: Wyoming

Romance: Very clean. Light kissing.

Faith: Strong message of applying faith while working through grief and accepting help from others.

Kemerer had me from the opening scenes of this book. I loved the entire premise. Jet seeks out his dead brother’s widow to get some closure only to find Holly sick and in desperate need of help with her baby.

Kemerer writes wonder and diverse male main characters and Jet’s character delights readers. He is honorable and wants to help all those around him. Yet he must learn to examine his motives for his behavior and come to terms with the loss of his younger brother.

The romance that blossoms between Jet and Holly was handled delicately by the author. Each character tries to reconcile with the idea that they are falling in love with someone who would have been off limits if Holly had not been widowed.

The secrets revealed as the story unfolds made it very difficult to put this book down. I read it in one afternoon and evening because it hooked me so deeply. I would strongly recommend this book to fans of contemporary, inspirational, clean, Christian romance.
