Mandi Blake does a wonderful job hooking the reader from the opening paragraphs of each book in the series. I could not put these books down!

Each of the six stories within the series stands on its own. I appreciated the publisher provided a box set at a discount compared to buying each book individually.

The series follows five brothers and one cousin who all live and work at Blackwater Ranch. Mandi Blake provides a diverse set of women that come to the ranch for jobs, safety, and even vacation. While the women are there, each connects with one of the brothers or cousin with lots of drama and romance. Some find faith for the first time, while others learn to lean on God more.

Which book in the series was my favorite? Mistaking the Cowboy (Book 3). Best opening scene ever and it fits perfectly with the entire premise of the book and both of the main characters.

Great stories with satisfying happily ever afters. Fans of clean romance, Christian romance, and sweet romance will love this series.

1. What was the inspiration for the Blackwater Ranch Series?

I grew up on a cattle farm in Alabama, and I love the scenery, the hard work, and the dedication. The men in my family have always been farmers, and it's inspiring to see them working day and night, rain or shine. I wanted to show those amazing qualities in the heroes of my books.

2. Do you have a favorite Harding brother/cousin? Why is he your favorite?

Yes. Asher is my favorite. He's absolutely NOT like me, and I love that. I wish I was more fun, but I'm actually more like Micah (strict and responsible).

3. What scene in the series did you have the most fun writing? Why?

My favorite scenes were the ones with Asher and Haley trading songs in Mistaking the Cowboy. I grew up loving country music, and it was fun to use it as their love language.

4. What are your favorite books to read?

I love romance. The sweeter, the better. I also love stories that include amnesia or friends falling in love.

5. Is there anything else you would like to share with my readers?
